BSSC Announces Massive Recruitment for CGL 4 and Office Attendant Posts: 5208 Vacancies

The Bihar Staff Selection Commission (BSSC) has released a major recruitment notification for a total of 5208 vacancies under two combined drives: the 4th Graduate Level Combined Competitive Examination (BSSC CGL 4) and for Office Attendant posts.

1. BSSC Office Attendant Recruitment – 3727 Vacancies

This recruitment drive is for 10th-pass candidates to secure jobs in various departments of the Bihar Government.

2. BSSC CGL 4 Recruitment 2025 – 1481 Vacancies

This examination is for graduate-level posts across 6 departments of the Bihar Government. The post-wise details are:

    • Assistant Branch Officer: 1064 posts – Graduation in any subject.
    • Planning Assistant: 88 posts – Graduation in any subject.

    • Data Entry Operator Grade-C: 1 post – Graduation + PGDCA/BCA/BSc IT.
    • Auditor: 125 posts – Graduation in Maths/Commerce/Economics/Statistics.
    • Auditor, Assistant Committees: 198 posts – Graduation in Maths or Commerce.
  • Age Limit: 21 to 37 years (Age relaxation as per rules for reserved categories).

Preliminary Exam Pattern for CGL 4:

  • Total Questions: 150 (MCQ)
  • Duration: 2 hours 15 minutes
  • Subjects: General Studies, Mathematical & Mental Ability, General Science.
  • Marking Scheme: +4 for correct answer, -1 for incorrect answer.
  • Qualifying Marks: Same as Office Attendant (listed above).
  • Important Note: Candidates will be allowed to carry one book per section (only board-approved textbooks). Guides, notes, or electronic devices are strictly prohibited.
